Welcome to My World

Thank you for visiting my new website! This is an exciting step for me in my journey to becoming an artist, as I can now offer my work for sale! This blog tells you a little bit more about me and how I got here!

About me

I was born and bred in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, in Ōpōtiki. I left to discover the world at 16 and have travelled and lived in many countries and large cities over the years. A career in the corporate world meant that for many years my love for art and things of beauty was purely on the consumer side (I have a house full of other people's gorgeous art works). A move back to the Eastern Bay of Plenty in 2020 and a decision at the end of 2022 to put myself and my health first meant that I left my job as a CEO and started to explore my creative side again after about 24 years. I now reside in beautiful Ōhope Beach, overlooking the magical Ōhiwa Harbour. This area has been the inspiration for most of my landscapes. As I am just starting out, I work from my home, but it's not a hardship when I have spectacular views like this!

Rosie

Of course, I must also introduce my little sidekick Rosie, who keeps me company while I paint and loves "helping" with admin tasks too. She's even been known to create and delete emails! Rosie joined my family in early 2021 as an adult rescue. That is how I've adopted all my cats until now because of the demands of executive roles. Rosie and I are looking forward to maybe adding a kitten to our family next summer, that is I think Rosie wants a little brother or sister, hehe. Watch this space for updates on that!
