"The Moment Before Release" is a work that sits in tension - held just at the edge of letting go.  Gesture and structure meet here in a quiet standoff.  Sweeping forms push against more solid shapes, creating a sense of pressure building beneath the surface.  This piece reflects that suspended moment - when something is about to shift but hasn't yet found its release.

Oil paint, pastel and oil pastel on canvas in a floating framed, 32x42 cms including frame.  This work would make a great diptych with "Falling Into".
